Storage and analysis of transcriptomics data

For storage and analysis of transcriptomics data a S. meliloti ArrayLIMS and EMMA web interface was established. These are based on the ArrayLIMS and EMMA system developed by the Bioinformatics Resource Facility (CeBiTec, Bielefeld University).

For users of the S. meliloti microarrays:

Access the Sinorhizobium meliloti ArrayLIMS web interface (restricted access)

Access the Sinorhizobium meliloti EMMA web interface (restricted access)

Microarray probes can be browsed using GenDB.

RT-PCR primer sets

Primer pairs that can be used to amplify intergenic regions by PCR or RT-PCR are available for 6064 genes. These primers are equipped with 18 bp 5' extensions that contain restriction sites to facilitate cloning. PCR products have a length of preferentially 300 to 350 bp, but at least 80 bp.

SYNMIKRO Young Researchers Groups

Almost all scientific members of SYNMIKRO are actively involved in DFG’s Collaborative Research Centers (Sonderforschungsbereiche), Research Training Groups (Graduiertenkollegs), or other Cooperative Research projects. Alongside performing adventurous experiments, and reporting excellent science, SYNMIKRO substantially promotes potential Young Research Group Leaders by constantly keeping its doors open to welcome and support Young Researchers planning to set up an Independent Research Group.
