Description

The Bioinformatics core facility is the answer to the challenges of high-throughput data analysis. It provides project-specific analysis of genomics, transcriptomics and methylomics data as well as data mining. Data analysis performed on the MaRC2 cluster ensures fast processing of large data sets. Each project is handled individually and in dialog with the collaborator to ensure optimal results.

Applications:

  • transcriptomics (e.g. RNA-seq, microarrays )
  • methylomics (e.g. SMRT- sequencing)
  • genomics ( e.g.vassembly, marker frequency analysis)
  • data mining (e.g. comparative genomics, motif search, sequence annotation and characterization)

SYNMIKRO Young Researchers Groups

Almost all scientific members of SYNMIKRO are actively involved in DFG’s Collaborative Research Centers (Sonderforschungsbereiche), Research Training Groups (Graduiertenkollegs), or other Cooperative Research projects. Alongside performing adventurous experiments, and reporting excellent science, SYNMIKRO substantially promotes potential Young Research Group Leaders by constantly keeping its doors open to welcome and support Young Researchers planning to set up an Independent Research Group.
